How to Make a Puff Pastry Asparagus and Goat Cheese Tart

My Asparagus and Goat cheese tart with puff pastry showcases fresh asparagus in the most beautiful way.
My tips for using puff pastry tarts are an easy shortcut to traditional made-from-scratch tarts and are ready in under 30 minutes.

=== 🍽🍸🥩 RECIPE ===
8 ounces (226 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
4 ounces (113 g) goat cheese, softened
4 ounces (113 g) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup (58 g) sour cream, room temperature
1 clove garlic, finely minced
3 ounces (85 g) prosciutto, finely chopped
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
Egg wash

Preheat your oven to 400° F (205° C)

In a medium bowl, combine the goat cheese, cream cheese sour cream and prosciutto. Mix well to combine. (You may use a hand mixer if desired.) Set aside.

Place the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and gently roll to form an 11 x 13 (28 x 33 cm) rectangle. Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Using a fork, prick the pastry around the edge to create a 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) border. Continue to prick the pastry inside the border you created, this will allow the edges to puff and keep the center flat.

Spread the cheese mixture on the pastry, being careful to not go over the border.

Arrange the asparagus on top of the cheese. Brush the border of the pastry with the egg wash.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden and the asparagus is cooked through.
Serve at room temperature.
