How to Make a Watermelon Martini – Bringing the Farmstand to the Bar
Nothing reminds me of summer more than watermelon. My Watermelon Martini is chopped watermelon, vodka, fresh mint and other simple ingredients. Served in a Martini glass or tall glass over ice, you will be making this every time you see watermelon in the store.
=== 🍽🍸🥩 RECIPE ===
8 ounces (228 g) chopped watermelon (seedless if possible)
2-3 mint leaves
2 ounces (60 ml) watermelon juice
3 ounces (90 ml) watermelon vodka or plain vodka
1/2 ounce (15 ml) orange liqueur (Triple Sec, Cointreau, Grand Marnier)
1 ounce (30 ml) simple syrup
1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice
To make the watermelon juice
Place the watermelon, mint leaves and 1 ounce (20 ml) vodka in a blender.
Puree until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh strainer, squeezing out as much liquid as possible to make watermelon juice.
In a shaker with ice, combine 2 ounces (60 ml) watermelon juice, remaining 2 ounces (60 ml) of watermelon vodka, orange liqueur, simple syrup and lime juice. Shake well.
Strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with a piece of watermelon and a sprig of mint.
