Drambuie Cocktails – The Rusty Nail and the Lemon Meadow

It’s all about adventures in Drambuie today. We’re making two cocktails, the classic Rusty Nail and the Lemon Meadow. The Rusty Nail dates back to 1937 and calls for just two ingredients, Scotch and Drambuie. The Lemon Meadow is a citrus cocktail made with vodka, lemon juice, and Drambuie.

Drambuie used to be considered an older man’s drink. But Drambuie Liquor, made from Scotch and Heather Honey, has a wonderful roundness and sweetness, so it plays well with others. The Classic Rusty might be a bit too strong for most, but my Lemon Meadow is citrus based, and the Drambuie adds just the right amount of sweetened to round out the lemon flavors.

=== 🍽🍸🥩 RECIPE ===
Rusty Nail:
2 ounces (60ml) Scotch
1 ounce (30ml) Drambuie

Combine in mixing glass over ice. Stir to chill.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

Lemon Meadow Cocktail:
2 ounces (60ml) Lemon Vodka
1/2 ounce (15ml) Drambuie
1 ounce (30ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 ounce (7ml) Simple Syrup
Lemon peel for garnish

Combine in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well.
Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with lemon peel.
