How to Make Apple Cranberry Hand Pies – Mini Version

Ready to take your baking skills to the next level? My mini apple cranberry hand pie recipe is the perfect starting point. Follow along and let’s create something truly special together.

=== 🍽🍸🥩 RECIPE ===
1 large Gala or Fuji apple, peeled and finely diced
2 tablespoons of dried cranberries, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons water
1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
Parchment paper

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the apple, sugar and cinnamon. Cook, stirring often, until the apples are softened. Remove from the heat and stir in the cranberries. Set aside to cool.

Unroll pie crusts. Cut out 3 inch (8cm) circles with a biscuit cutter. Place 1 circle onto the prepared baking sheet. Top with 1 teaspoon of the apple mixture. Then place another circle of pie crust on top. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal. Repeat with the remaining dough circles and apple mixture. Cut small slits in the top of each pie to allow steam to vent.

In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk with the water to create and egg wash and brush on the top of each pie.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
