Tasty Lemon Orzo with Peas: A Burst of Flavor in Every Bite

Lemon Orzo with Peas is a delightful and refreshing pasta dish that combines the flavors of citrusy lemon, tender orzo pasta, and sweet peas. It’s a perfect side dish or can be a satisfying main course with grilled chicken or shrimp.

2 cups (315g) orzo pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
12 ounces (340g) frozen peas
Finely grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
4 oz (120ml) heavy cream
½ cup (20g) grated parmesan
Salt & Pepper

Bring a pan of salted water to a boil and cook the orzo for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

Heat a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the oil and butter. Add the peas to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

Add the lemon juice and cream, and bring to a boil. Add the orzo, half of the parmesan, and the lemon zest. Stir to combine and taste for seasoning.

Top with the remaining parmesan and serve!
