Moist Banana Pancakes from Scratch – With Banana in the Batter
For most people, banana pancakes is just pancakes with bananas on top. My recipe has the bananas in the batter which makes the pancakes moist, delicious and taste like bananas!
My moist banana pancakes from scratch makes light and airy pancakes, loaded with banana bread flavor. With just a handful of pantry ingredients and ripe bananas, you can make your dream breakfast come true as often as you want!

1 cup (125 g) all purpose flour
2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup (236 ml) milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 ripe bananas, mashed
Dry Ingredients – In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk to combine.
Wet Ingredients – In another bowl combine the egg, vanilla, milk, melted butter. Whisk well to combine. Add the mashed bananas, and stir well.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, or an electric griddle set to 375F (190c)
Using a quarter cup measure (60 ml), measure out the batter onto the hot skillet. Bake on the first side until bubble appear and start to pop. Flip over, and bake on the second side for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Keep warm in a low oven. Serve with butter and pure maple syrup!
