How to Boil an Egg the Easy Way – Basic Kitchen Skills
How to Boil an Egg seems to be the simplest of tasks. But, it’s one that people struggle with often. Most people over cook them and you can tell by the dark grey ring around the egg yolk. I’ll show you an easy, foolproof method to make the perfect boiled eggs every time, no matter if you like the soft boiled or hard boiled.
=== 🍽🍸🥩 RECIPE ===
6 large eggs, room temperature.
Large sauce pan with a tight fitting lid.
Enough water to cover the eggs, plus 1 inch (2.5cm)
Place the eggs into the pan, add the water and cover. Bring to a boil, and then cut the heat. Depending on how you like your eggs, leave in the water for the following amount of time:
Soft boiled: 6 to 8 minutes
Medium hard: 8 to 10 minutes
Hard boiled: 10 to 12 minutes
Once cooked, place eggs in an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop the cooking.
