How to Make a Mojito Cocktail – Marrying Mint, Lime, Sugar and Rum

Often called the world’s most popular cocktail, the Mojito has it’s origins in Cuba. The flavors of mint, lime, sugar and rum come together to make a light and refreshing cocktail.

5-7 mint leaves, more for garnish
2 ounces (60 ml) white rum
1 ounce (30 ml) Fresh lime juice
3/4 ounce (22.5 ml) simple syrup
Club soda

Place the mint, lime juice and syrup in a tall glass. Muddle gently to release the oils in the mint.
Add ice to the glass and pour in the rum. Stir well to combine.
Top with club soda, garnish with sprig of mint.
