The Manhattan and Old Fashioned Cocktails – All about Bourbon

Two bourbon cocktails stand before me, and the time has come for them to be tasted and enjoyed! It’s the Manhattan and the Old Fashioned. Mix them up and drink responsibly!

The Manhattan, a classic cocktail made from whiskey, sweet vermouth and a dash of bitters. You can change the flavor by changing the type of whiskey. Today we’re using bourbon, but you can also use rye, scotch or a blended whiskey.

The Old Fashioned, the older sister of the Manhattan is a simple mixture and one of the oldest cocktails. The soda makes it lighter and refreshing, though no less potent! The garnish of an orange and cherry adds a nice brightness too.
